Teltonika

Overview

The Teltonika module enables SMS alarm notifications via Teltonika cellular routers. It integrates with Ignition's alarm notification system, allowing operators to receive alarm alerts via SMS through your existing Teltonika infrastructure.

Supported Routers

The module is compatible with Teltonika routers that support SMS functionality, including:

  • RUT Series - RUT240, RUT241, RUT950, RUT955, RUTX series
  • TRB Series - TRB140, TRB141, TRB142, TRB245, TRB255
  • Other cellular routers with SMS capability and API access

Architecture

The module registers a custom Teltonika Notification profile type in Ignition's Alarm Notification system. When an alarm triggers a notification block using this profile:

  1. The alarm event is received by the notification profile
  2. Contact information (phone numbers) is extracted from the roster
  3. Message expressions are evaluated with alarm context variables
  4. Authentication is performed (Legacy or REST API)
  5. The SMS is sent via the Teltonika router's API
  6. Notification status is logged to the optional audit profile
